Fefe Says…

Book Review: Insatiable

For the record, I am such a huge Meg Cabot fan— she could do no wrong in my eyes.  In her newest adult novel, Insatiable, Meena Harper writes dialogue for a popular soap opera.  She’s your typical Plain Jane with a hidden talent—she can predict how someone is going to die.  Yikes.  Meena lives with her brother Jon in a Manhattan apartment, where she is constantly greeted by her vivacious neighbor, Mary Lou.  Mary Lou seems to have the perfect man for Meena, the one she feels will be her perfect match—after all, Mary Lou keeps pushing the fact that he’s a real Romanian Prince!

But, Meena never could dreamed up what was in store for her.  And, yes.  Vampires are at the core of the novel.  You can guess who one of the blood-thirsty Vampires is, but I’m not going to tell you.  If you are a fan of True Blood, Twilight, or The Vampire Diaries—be prepared for a whole new scene.  Meg Cabot does a brilliant job of creating a Vampire world within the confines of Manhattan.  You will be drawn to the passionate romance, the never-ending adventure, and the journey of one young woman who has been blessed with an extraordinary gift.

If you love anything related to Vampires, you will surely devour this.  If Vampires aren’t really your thing, you might want to skip it—unless you enjoy the whole, forbidden love thing.
